What is FOSS?
Friends of Stanwick School is a registered charity set up to help raise funds for Stanwick Primary to provide extra resources and other benefits for the pupils.
It provides a forum to bring together parents, teachers and others from the local community to raise money, support the school and make a difference for the children.
As a Friends Association it is open to all parents, carers and guardians of pupils currently attending the school plus any other person wishing to offer support.
What do we do?
We run a number of events and initiatives throughout the year, with all the monies raised being spent on projects for the school.
Our events and initiatives include:
What can you do?
There are many ways in which you can help out. We are always on the look out for new recruits to join our core team. We meet approximately once a month and work as a team to arrange the events.
If you don’t want to commit but like the idea of helping, simply contact one of the team to let us know or look out for our posters asking for extra support.
Finally the most important thing you can do is come along to our events and support us. Without the support and dedication of our parents, FOSS would not be the success it is.
What does success look like?
These are a number of the great investments from FOSS over the past few years:
So what’s next?
Simply more events and more investment. Stay tuned for all the latest information regarding our upcoming projects.
Keep up to date with FOSS!
The FOSS team produces a newsletter each term with details of what’s going on and what we are spending on. We have notice boards at the front and rear of the school with our latest information and white boards in the playground keeping you posted with latest news.
We also have our own Facebook page where you can hear all the up to date information and be the first to know of our great events that are coming up. Please “like” our page to keep up to date, however if you are not a Facebook user you can still visit our page to see what we are up to without having to register for an account:
We can also be contacted via email: email@example.com
Or leave a message for us in the “FOSS Box” in the school reception area.
We look forward to hearing from you.
The FOSS Team.
